A graduate of NIT Bhopal in Architecture and a Master’s alumna of the National Institute of Design, Ahmedabad specializing in Interior and Furniture Design, Shruti Jain brings over a decade of expertise in retail and experience design. Her career spans leading design agencies across India as well as global teams, giving her a nuanced understanding of both local insights and international design sensibilities.
Shruti currently serves as Design Director – Experience at Elephant, where she leads multidisciplinary teams to craft world-class experiential environments. In this role, she harnesses her robust design background to shape meaningful, future-ready experiences that seamlessly blend strategy, storytelling, and spatial innovation. She collaborates closely with a dynamic squad of retail and experience designers, inspiring them to push creative boundaries while anchoring each project in deep user understanding.
Her portfolio includes transformative work across diverse categories. Shruti has led the design of the iconic Jawa Motorcycles retail experience, which earned two coveted industry awards. She has shaped the brand presence for Firefox Cycles, designed the immersive Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages Factory Experience Tour, and crafted the seamless Uber Airport Experience in Bangalore, among many other high-impact engagements.
Beyond project leadership, Shruti is skilled at curating and orchestrating high-performing teams. She brings clarity, structure, and vision to large-scale assignments, guiding designers as they navigate projects ranging from experiential retail environments to branded activations. She is deeply committed to nurturing talent, empowering teams, and cultivating a culture of curiosity and craftsmanship.
Outside the studio, Shruti is an explorer at heart. You will often find her wandering through a city’s cultural corridors, absorbing its stories, heritage, and people; or with a paintbrush in hand, creating murals that reflect her unique artistic sensibilities. Artful exploration is her ikigai, fueling the passion she brings into every space she designs.
