Created for India's first yogurt smoothie, the Twist bottle combines fluid aesthetics with practical ergonomics, embodying both product characteristics and brand personality through purposeful sculptural design. 

Yoghurt as Wellness

Epigamia emerged as a dynamic newcomer in India's competitive FMCG landscape, achieving remarkable growth by selling over 3 million cups of Greek yogurt monthly within just four years of launch. The brand built its reputation on authentic, fresh flavours combined with clear health benefits, establishing strong consumer trust and loyalty. This success empowered Epigamia to diversify its product portfolio, leading to their innovative yogurt smoothie concept, a first-of-its-kind offering in the Indian market with no direct competitors.

Potent Yet Wholesome

Epigamia aimed to capture the essence of their smoothie product through a distinctive packaging solution that would communicate "potency and intensity" while maintaining approachability. Unlike typical aggressive health drink positioning, they sought to convey the natural potency of flavour and wholesomeness. The name "Twist" was selected to represent both the fun, exciting nature of the product and the physical churning process that creates the smooth texture. The packaging needed to extend Epigamia's established brand character while carving out a unique visual identity for this innovative addition to their product family. 

Fluid Form Language 

The bottle's distinctive swirling shape visually represents the product's smooth, liquid nature through sculptural contours. These flowing lines convey motion and the churning process while maintaining structural integrity for practical everyday use. This design route lends a certain grace to the bottle, while providing a peek at the contents: thick, smooth and echoing flavourful goodness within. We made sure that this ‘grace’ did not appear fragile in any way but maintained a certain rigidity and integrity.

Function Meets Brand Expression 

The Twist bottle design balances multiple functional requirements with brand storytelling. Beyond its visually striking appearance, the bottle's contoured surface serves as an ergonomic grip enhancement, making it comfortable to hold during on-the-go consumption. This tactile feature reinforces the product's convenience positioning while creating a distinctive shelf presence. The bottle's transparency strategically showcases the smoothie's thick, creamy texture. The upper portion transitions into a broader surface designed specifically to accommodate labelling, creating a harmonious canvas where graphics could extend the visual narrative. This thoughtful integration ensures that structural and graphic elements work together to reinforce brand identity while differentiating the new product line.

Overall, Epigamia’s new yogurt drink bottle was very happily accepted in their ever-growing family of products; and witnessed it flying off the shelves with its promise of health, flavorful potency, and wholesomeness.

Establishing a Cohesive Brand Architecture  

The design team carefully balanced differentiation with brand consistency by adapting Epigamia's core visual language for this new category. The resulting bottle maintains familiar brand codes while establishing distinct product identity, ensuring consumers instantly recognize both the parent brand and the innovative product offering's unique qualities.
