Created a distinctive identity for Allana Group's new premium cat food brand Purrfeto, breaking category norms by portraying cats as sophisticated, adventurous "citizens of the world" with Mediterranean influences.
The Italian Connection
Following their success with Bowlers, Allana Group approached Elephant Design to create a disruptive cat food brand that would break category conventions. The brand drew inspiration from Italy's deep cultural connection with cats—from ancient goddess Bastet to Rome's legally protected feline "biocultural heritage." This rich historical relationship provided authentic foundation for Purrfeto's Mediterranean-inspired design and "citizen of the world" positioning, celebrating cats as independent, sophisticated beings rather than passive pets.
The Ardent Explorer
Purrfeto aimed to connect with modern pet parents who celebrate their cats' independence rather than merely tolerating it. The brand positioned itself as premium nutrition for discerning pet owners who see their felines as sophisticated explorers. By highlighting cats' natural curiosity and adventurous spirit through thoughtful design elements that reflect intimate feline behaviours, Purrfeto established a unique identity that resonates emotionally with cat parents while standing apart from category conventions.
The Muse: Bengal Cat
Within the constraints of limited packaging space, we crafted a narrative that speaks directly to cat owners' hearts. Every visual element - from the Bengal cat's knowing gaze to its poised posture - reflects intimate feline behaviours that cat parents immediately recognize.





The World Traveler
A charismatic Bengal cat serves as the brand mascot, embodying Purrfeto's "citizen of the world" positioning across all touchpoints. This carefully selected ambassador appears in various adventurous scenarios throughout the packaging system, representing the curious, independent spirit that cat parents recognize in their own pets.
The mascot's knowing gaze, alert ears, and graceful confidence capture authentic feline behaviours that create immediate emotional connection with pet parents. These details aren't merely decorative but thoughtful observations of cats being cats, reinforcing the brand's understanding of feline nature.
The Passport to Adventure
The packaging system brings our cats' thrilling, curious, seeker-of-experiences narrative to life. Each pack features our Bengal mascot in various adventurous scenarios, complemented by travel-themed elements and a "stamp of approval" that playfully says: Feline Strong, Feline Good.
