Founded in 2007, Global Desi celebrates the distinctive style of the modern Indian woman who "passionately wears India on her sleeve." With presence across 146 exclusive brand outlets and 402 multi-brand stores nationwide, the brand has established itself as a platform for boho-chic Indian-inspired fashion. Their approachable identity features lowercase sans-serif logotype and a contemporary brandmark that represents modern Indianness, appealing to women seeking vibrant design with international appeal.

Colourful Chaos Digitized

Global Desi aimed to create a unique digital experience that accurately reflected their brand proposition while solving existing sales execution issues. Their vision required a playful platform expressing the vibrancy of free-spirited youth through intuitive navigation and storytelling. The project sought to deepen user connections through gamification, personalization, and showcasing the journey from inspiration to product, ultimately increasing engagement and customer retention while building lasting brand equity through the digital experience.

Typographic Storytelling

Global Desi's previous website presented significant challenges: static banners, monotonous layouts, missing navigation bars, and disconnected visual language failed to convey the brand's vibrant personality. The absence of user reviews and limited calls-to-action created barriers to trust and engagement. 

The refreshed digital platform pairs bold Playfair Display statements with elegant Raleway for sophisticated readability. This typographic hierarchy supports the brand's vibrant yellow accent against classic black and white, embodying both Indian exuberance and contemporary fashion sensibilities.

Personalized Shopping; Redefined

The reimagined product experience features enhanced product visualization, integrated customer reviews, and intuitive colour selection that simplifies decision-making. The innovative "complete the look" functionality encourages styling exploration across categories while live Instagram integration showcases real-world styling, bridging digital browsing with authentic fashion inspiration. 

Our solution transformed these limitations with immersive video-capable banners, intuitive collection transitions, and integrated social proof elements. The redesigned experience flows naturally between curated collections, celebrity endorsements, and user-generated content, creating multiple touchpoints that reflect the brand's colourful fusion ethos.
